Helpful content
10 ptsGoogle's people-first guidance: does the page answer one clear question in its own words, in a form people can scan?
- Title and H1 intent
- Scannable structure
- Original phrasing
- Image alt text
Four steps, start to finish.
- 01Paste one full URL
An article or landing page, including https. Home pages score oddly because raters judge them on different signals.
- 02Read the five category scores
Each category shows every check, what was found on the page as evidence, and the points earned out of the points available.
- 03Work the 'fix these first' list
It is sorted by points at stake, so the top item is always the single change that moves the score most.
- 04Publish, then re-run
The tool reads your live HTML, so re-run after the change is deployed to confirm the signal is actually visible to a crawler.
Google says trust is the most important member of the family.
Experience, expertise and authority all feed into trust. A page with brilliant writing and no author, no date, and no way to contact anyone still fails the rater's first question: can this be relied on? That is why 30 of the 100 points sit in the trust column, and why the quickest wins on most sites are there.
Points sitting in the trust column - more than any other category.
HTTPS, a visible date, and real contact details clear most of the gap.
What great writing earns on a page with no identifiable author.
Typical time to fix the trust items, versus weeks for authority.
How this E-E-A-T rater grades your page
Google's Search Quality Rater Guidelines ask human raters to judge a page on Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness and Trust. Raters do not set rankings directly, but their verdicts train the systems that do, which makes their checklist the closest thing we have to a public scoring sheet. This tool fetches your live page and walks that checklist for you.
Most pages lose points in the same three places: no verifiable author, no publication or updated date, and stock photography where original screenshots should be. Those are all fixable in an afternoon, and the report ranks your losses by how many points each one is worth.
One caveat worth stating: no automated tool can read whether your advice is actually correct. This grades the signals a rater can verify from the page. The accuracy of the content is still your job.
