What Kajabi's January 2026 price hike actually means

If you stay on your current Kajabi plan, the new pricing kicks in on your first billing date on or after January 13, 2026. Your features and limits stay the same - but you lose access to anything Kajabi launches on the new plans (Cohort Courses, Comment-to-DM, video translation, API).

Migrating early to a new plan unlocks those features immediately and locks you into the new pricing right now. Plan migration is not required - but pricing on both legacy and new plans will be identical after January 2026.

The 5% transaction fee on new plans only applies when you process payments through Stripe or another third-party gateway in regions where Kajabi Payments is available. It does not apply to PayPal transactions or to existing legacy plans.

For most course creators, coaches, and consultants doing $10K+/month, the math now favors moving to GoHighLevel - even before factoring in CRM, SMS, automations, and the ability to resell sub-accounts to clients as your own SaaS.

Kajabi versus GoHighLevel, priced honestly

Kajabi and GoHighLevel overlap far less than the comparison posts suggest. Kajabi is a course and digital-product platform with marketing attached. GoHighLevel is a marketing and CRM platform with courses attached. The right question is not which is better, it is which of the two replaces more of the software you already pay for.

This calculator adds up what you spend today across your course host, email tool, funnel builder, scheduler, and phone system, then compares that total against each platform so the switch cost is a number rather than a feeling.

If you sell courses and nothing else, Kajabi usually wins on polish. If you run client work, appointments, follow-up, or plan to resell software to other businesses, GoHighLevel usually wins on total cost.
