Where to find your Google review link
Google hides this in three different places depending on how your profile is set up. Here are all three, starting with the one that works even when the others do not.
Search your business name and the generator builds the link from your Place ID.
Watch: finding your Google review link
Method 1: the generator (works for any verified business)
The free tool on this site searches Google's own places data, finds your Place ID, and assembles the review URL. It works whether or not you can sign in to the profile, which is useful when you are setting this up for a client.
Method 2: from your Business Profile
- Sign in to the Google account that manages the business.
- Search your business name in Google.
- In the profile panel, choose Ask for reviews or Get more reviews.
- Copy the short link Google shows you.
This gives you a short g.page style link. It is fine for texts and cards. It only appears for verified profiles, and only for the managing account.
Method 3: from Google Maps
- Open Google Maps and search the business.
- Open the listing and scroll to Reviews.
- Use Share, then copy the URL. This gives you the listing link rather than the review box, so it takes the customer one extra tap.
Once you have it
Put it everywhere the customer already is: the same-day thank-you text, your email signature, the thank-you page after a booking, and a printed code at the counter. The links below cover each of those, including a walkthrough you can send to customers who are not comfortable with Maps.
Common questions
- Where is the review link in my Google Business Profile?
- Search your own business name while signed in to the Google account that manages it. The profile panel appears in the results with an 'Ask for reviews' or 'Get more reviews' button, which reveals a short g.page link you can copy.
- Why can I not see the 'Ask for reviews' button?
- That button only appears for verified profiles, and only when you are signed in to the managing account. If the profile is unverified or you are signed in as a different user, use the Place ID method instead.
- Is the short g.page link the same as the writereview link?
- They land in the same place. The g.page short link is easier to read out loud; the search.google.com/local/writereview link built from your Place ID is more reliable and never expires if the short link is regenerated.
